Live video streaming service, YouNow singer, Hannah Stone, has died from an apparent suicide, reports say. She passed away last week after taking a month-long break from social media in October. She was 16.
Stone died on November 1, just two weeks before her 17th birthday. According to her obituary, Hannah died at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York, ‘with her loving family by her side’.
In September, the teen shared a cryptic tweet, saying: ‘I’ll never be able to describe how sorry I am.’ A month later, she posted a photo of herself with the caption: ‘Officially on do not disturb mode from now on.’ Hannah had decided to take a break from her social media. Her last Instagram post was on October 14.
Her death shocked her fans, whom she often sang for on YouNow, a live broadcasting service where users stream their own live video content.
On October 18, the teen made her final YouNow stream as she played the piano and sang to her fans.
Details behind Hannah’s death have not been released, but media reports claim she took her own life.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends at this difficult time.
