Malik Murphy has been arrested after police say he killed two young siblings and injured his father in Colorado Springs overnight.
Murphy, 19, was taken into custody after police responded to a call in the 900 block of Carlisle Street shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, police found three victims with apparent stab wounds. All three victims were taken to the hospital. The children were later pronounced dead.

A 5-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy died from their injuries. The third victim, the children’s father, suffered injuries that police said were not life-threatening. Police said they took into custody Malik Vincent Murphy, 19. ABC affiliate KRDO reports the young victims are siblings and the suspect is the children’s older brother. source
Murphy faces two counts of first-degree murder.
