Former University of Northern Iowa Athletics football player and current De Smet Jesuit High School football coach, Jaz Granderson, was identified as the man found shot dead in St. Louis early Monday morning, according to reports.
St. Louis police identified Granderson, 27, after he was found with a gunshot wound around 1:00 a.m. on Monday. Police told reporters that Granderson was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Granderson was living in St. Louis where he was a coach for the De Smet varsity football team, according to the school’s website. KSDK reports that Granderson had been an assistant coach there for two years. source
A motive behind the shooting hasn’t been released nor has any suspect information.
