Steven Dym, CEO of Gabriel Management, killed his wife and teenage daughter in their Westchester County home. Dym, 56, then took his own life, state police say.
Authorities identified 50-year-old Loretta Dym, a vice president at Club Quarters Hotels and their 18-year-old daughter Caroline Dym as among the dead. The exact cause of death was not revealed.
The fatal incident took place at the same 4,600-square-foot estate Dym’s mother attacked her husband Lawrence Dym with a hatchet handle in 1992.
A housecleaner discovered the bodies Friday morning in the Dym residence on Fox Hill Road in Pound Ridge, according to police.
Reports say the house was up for sale and that no one knew the family too well.
Pound Ridge is on the eastern part of Westchester County. It’s bordered by Bedford to the west and Stamford, Connecticut, to the south. It’s a town of less than 30 square miles with sprawling, multimillion-dollar homes for sale.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends at this difficult time.
