The newborn baby found in a Fargo apartment building Thursday is that of missing 22-year-old Savannah Greywind, MyNDNow is reporting. The child was discovered alive and transported to a medical facility. Its condition has not yet been updated.
Authorities say 22-year-old Greywind, aka, Savanna Lafontaine-Greywind, who is eight months pregnant, was last seen Saturday afternoon at their apartment helping with a sewing project.
She hasn’t been seen since.
William Hoehn and Brooke Crews were taken into custody and charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping – a class A felony – on Thursday. Police discovered the baby as they carried out the warrant on the apartment.
Fargo Police Chief David Todd says Hoehn and Crews have been uncooperative when asked about Greywind’s whereabouts.
Todd asked for the public’s help in searching all types of structures from garages to Dumpsters to unoccupied apartments for signs of the missing woman.
In addition, he asked anyone with information about a particular green Grand Cherokee Jeep to let police know if it was seen since Saturday.
Todd said it is possible LaFontaine-Greywind, who was pregnant at the time she disappeared, is not in the area.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Fargo police tip line at (701) 235-7335.
