Authorities have identified Robyn Storr as the Louisville woman who died after a boat crashed Monday night while on the Ohio River. She was 46.
According to police, they responded to reports of a boat collision involving Storr, aka, Robyn Franck, around 10:45 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, near the Limestone Clubhouse, just south of Captain’s Quarters along River Road.
Police say the driver of the boat hit some type of debris in the river, causing him to lose control. Investigators say Storr, who was also on the boat, died at the scene. Her cause of death is listed as “multiple blunt force injuries in a boat vs. barge collision.” source
Police say the driver of the boat was rushed to University Hospital, and is expected to recover.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is treating the incident as a death investigation.
