The Muscle Shoals Police Department has identified, Charles Cook, as the Alabama man involved in a fatal crash that occurred around 9:40 p.m. on Friday, at the intersection of Woodward Ave. and 6th St.
Cook, 31, was traveling south on a motorcycle when an SUV travelling north entered the left turn lane and turned West onto 6th in front of Cook.
Muscle Shoals Police Chief, Clint Reck confirmed that Cook was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Police say that surveillance video obtained from a nearby business shows that the motorcycle had a green light.
According to Cook’s Facebook page, he was employed by the Coca-Cola company.

Fatal wreck gets man 16 years in prison
" operating a vehicle under the influence of marijuana"
A Colbert County man involved in a traffic accident that killed a Muscle Shoals man in July 2017 has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.
Michael Dexter Franks, 33, Ligon Springs Road, Littleville, was sentenced by Colbert County Circuit Judge Hal Hughston Jr. after Franks pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
