Justin Reed Collins and Myles Cody Goss have been identified as the men killed in a crash Friday afternoon on Pine Island Road in Cape Coral.
The fatal accident involved a Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Collins, 31, of North Fort Myers. Collins and his passenger, Goss, 31, of Lantana, both died at the scene.
Cape police said a Jetta was trying to cross Pine Island Rd. and drove into the path of a Dodge Dakota pickup.
It crash occurred around 3:20 near Commerce Creek Boulevard.
The truck’s driver, Gilberto Valentin Hernandez Jr., 20, of North Fort Myers, was taken to a hospital for minor injuries. source
Police said it’s not yet known if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
