Former Houston Texans Running Back D’Onta Foreman was arrested Sunday on possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of a firearm, according to University of Texas Police Department.
UT officers responded at 12:24 a.m. to reports of a smell of marijuana coming from three vehicles near the southwest side of San Jacinto residence hall.
Police said all three vehicles had marijuana and Foreman was the owner of a firearm discovered in one of the vehicles. Six other men were cited and released for possession of marijuana. Foreman was taken into custody and was booked into the Travis County Jail.
The Houston Texans released the following statement on Twitter:
“The Texans are aware of a situation involving D’Onta Foreman. We are gathering additional information and will have no further comment.”
