A stunt pilot who had performed “Magic by Moonlight” at the Amelia Earhart Festival in Atchison, KS, last night, has died in a Sunday plane crash. A passenger was also killed.
The two unidentified people crashed in Atchison County, Kansas. The crashed plane was also reportedly used to perform stunts during the festival. According to the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office, Vlado Lenoch, 64, was the pilot of the plane. Lenoch was of Buff Ridge, IL. The passenger was 34-year-old Bethany Root, 34 of Atchison.
The crash reportedly happened around 10:30 a.m. Sunday near Cummings, Kan. Two people were inside that small plane when the crash happened.
No word yet on what caused this crash.
