Bowie, Maryland Police say Navar Beverly killed his stepfather and posted selfie with the dead body on social media.
Ronald Pinkney was found dead in his home on the 15000 block of Dalby Court Saturday morning, and his stepson, Beverly, 38, is facing charges in his death.

A judge ordered Beverly held without bond Monday afternoon, calling him a “clear danger to the community.” Beverly, who appeared by video from the Prince George’s County jail, began yelling at the end of the hearing and was removed by force. Pinkney’s wife called police to her Bowie, Maryland, home just after 8 a.m. to report that her son killed her husband, charging documents state.
Beverly is charged with first- and second-degree murder. He is being held on a no-bond status.
