Robert Jake Chavez is on the loose after cutting off his ankle monitor Monday.
The Colorado Department of Corrections put out a BOLO Alert for Chavez, 38, who was convicted of a violent sexual assault of a child.
The Colorado Department of Corrections put out a notice late Tuesday saying they were looking for Chavez after he cut off his ankle monitor. He is currently on parole and was last seen near Pioneer Park in Commerce City. DOC says Chavez has convictions on sexual assault on a child charges and “has a history of possessing a weapon.” source
He is described as a white/Hispanic man who is 5-foot-11 and 260 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who sees Chavez is urged not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.
