Tragedy has struck the North Carolina sports community after East Carolina safety Domonique Lennon was found shot dead in the parking lot of the Bahama Breeze restaurant located in the 3300 block of Wake Forest Road near Interstate 440, in North Carolina.
Lennon, 24, was shot Friday night near the popular eatery in Raleigh. He was found by authorities lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. The NFL bound player was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Suffolk, Va., native played with ECU from 2011-15. He started 12 games at safety for the Pirates in 2014 before playing in all 12 games in 2015, tallying 27 tackles.
Police say no one is in custody and no suspect information is available at this time.
