Rockingham County man, Christopher Lee Neal, who was wanted by authorities after being accused of targeting social workers, has been arrested near Myrtle Beach. He was taken into custody shortly before 12 p.m. Thursday.
Neal shot at female social worker, Carlietha Rosanna Glover, who was traveling in her car late Tuesday night.

Glover, who is a social worker, told police that she was driving near Glenn Raven Road when a black BMW SUV drove up next to her car.
A gunshot was fired from that BMW into victim’s drivers side and then the BMW sped away.
Glover was uninjured and able to drive her car to the Burlington Police Department parking lot for help.
The Rockingham County Sheriff said the social worker had been investigating a case involving Neal Earlier in the day. Deputies said as a result of the investigation kids had to be removed from the home. Neal’s relationship to the kids were unclear.
“Emotions run high when you involve people’s children and you’re interviewing people’s children. And sometimes when children are removed from the homes for their protection emotions sometimes flare,” Sheriff Sam Page said.
Neal is charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle.
