After blowing off a bench warrant issued last Tuesday, Rochester City Court Judge Leticia Astacio, made her way back to Rochester to face the judge.
After setting a hearing for Thursday, Astacio was remanded into custody. The judge admonished Astacio, “Unfortunately for you, you’ve angered the one person that was keeping you on this side of a jail cell.”
Astacio had been summoned to court for allegedly violating probation after the ignition interlock device in her vehicle detected alcohol on her breath, however Astacio’s attorney, Ed Fiandach, informed the court she would be in Thailand until August.
Leaving court, Fiandach said he knew it would be a “tough day in court,’ but never expect anything like this.
