Legendary comedian and actor Jerry Lewis was admitted to a Las Vegas hospital Friday, News3LV is reporting.
New reports indicate Lewis, 91, is suffering from a simple urinary tract infection. TheCount.com had previously reported Lewis was “fighting for his life,” however that claim has proved false.
Lewis has enjoyed a lifelong career as a star of radio, television, stage and film. He started performing when he was 5.
In 1948 Lewis was paired with Dean Martin for Martin and Lewis, a televised comedy program. For 44 years he hosted the live Labor Day Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. He has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
