Portland MANHUNT: Police Release Surveillance Images Of Armed Suspect

Portland police posted surveillance images to Twitter Sunday afternoon of an armed suspect being sought in a manhunt focused in Northeast Portland.

Neighborhood #Alert: This is the suspect that tactical officers are looking for in the Laurelhurst neighborhood.”

The massive manhunt includes members of Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), Air Support Unit (ASU), the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Negotiation Team (TNT) as well as officers from other agencies.

Police have instructed the public to avoid these areas. People who live in those neighborhoods have been told to stay inside and call 911 if they see or hear anything suspicious.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 40s, 5-7 to 5-9 and 180 pounds. He’s wearing a green shirt, black pants, blue hat and a blue backpack. He’s armed with a handgun and may be limping or injured.
