An 8-year-old boy who had been listed in critical condition tonight after being shot in his Louisville, Kentucky home, has sadly passed away due to his injuries.
The boy was shot near the 2100 block of West Madison St in the Russell neighborhood for an unknown reason. Police responded to a call of shots fired and once on scene, discovered the young boy shot in the upper region of the body.
So far, no suspect(s) have been arrested. LMPD Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
There were other people were in the home where this young boy was shot, but no one else was injured.
