Famed jazz singer who also had many contemporary hits, Al Jarreau, has passed away Sunday morning. He was 76.
According to reps, the 7-time Grammy winner died after been hospitalized recently.
Amid his medical battle … he had announced he would be retiring. A message on his website says he passed away while in the hospital. Just last week, Al’s son said his father was singing “Moonlighting” to one of his nurses. Jarreau won 7 Grammy’s for a slew of hits through the ’70s and ’80s including “Look to the Rainbow,” “I’ll Fly Home” and perhaps his biggest hit “We’re In This Love Together.” h/t tmz
