Vanessa Marcotte, a woman who worked for Google, was murdered in broad daylight Sunday near her mother’s home in Princeton, Massachusetts. Her body was found Sunday night in a wooded area about a half mile from her mother’s home, Early said.
Marcotte, 27, who lived in New York City, went out for a jog Sunday in the town of Princeton, about 60 miles west of Boston, and never returned, said Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr.
The preliminary investigation shows Marcotte was murdered, Early said, and investigators are focusing on a 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. time frame. It is not clear if this was a random act, Early said. Marcotte, an account manager at Google, attended Boston University where she graduated with honors in 2011. h/t abcnews
