The UCLA student who shot and killed beloved teacher, William Klug, has been identified as Mainak Sarkar, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Thursday.
Klug, an Engineering professor at the popular SoCal college, was shot and killed by Sarkar in an apparent murder-suicide. No motive has yet been announced, however, a note was said to be left by the killer. The contents of the note have not yet been released.
Klug was reportedly in an office inside Boelter Hall on the Westwood campus before 10 a.m. when he was reportedly shot and killed by an unidentified student who then took his own life, sources told NBC4.
