Hikers in the Hollywood Hills area of Griffith Park found a skull, which was later determined to be human.
The human skull was located around 2 p.m. near a trail in the Brush Canyon area in a remote area of Griffith Park, said LAPD officials. No other body parts have not been located.
Investigators have determined that a skull discovered by hikers in Griffith Park on Saturday is human, according to the LAPD. Investigators did not immediately know how long the skull had been in the area, or the person’s cause of death. LAPD homicide investigators and Los Angeles County coroner’s office officials was at the scene. Police were expected to monitor the area throughout the night, Schatz said. h/t ktla
