KFOR Goes Dark After Translator Destroyed In Fire “Weeks To Repair”

If you live near the Seiling, Woodward and Alva areas in NW Oklahoma, you may have noticed KFOR’s over-the-air signal is dead.

The popular TV station reported that their translator in Seiling was destroyed in a fire. The translator beams the signal to their viewing audience.

KFOR engineers are diligently working to get this vital service restored as quickly as possible. There is no estimated time on when that will happen but it will take at least several weeks. You can still watch your favorite shows, newscasts and keep up-to-date with the weather conditions on KFOR.com as well as live streaming on our mobile apps, desktop, and mobile. Your service may not be disrupted if you have a satellite or major cable provider. h/t kfor

KFOR says they will keep viewers updated on the progress of the repairs.
