Brian Histand, a professional BMX rider who had been missing for nearly two and a half years, was found dead in the same area he was first reported missing, his family reports.
Histand had relocated to Phoenix from Pennsylvania in 2013 before disappearing shortly thereafter. The BMX community continually held out folklore level hope that he would reemerge over the years long absence, but sadly, that was not to be.
A professional BMX rider with his own brand of BMX clothing called Veil Brand, Histand went missing just a few days after he was showing symptoms of confusion which may have resulted from a related biking accident.
No official cause of death has yet been arrived.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Histand’s family and friends at this difficult time.
