Woman Who Hit Las Vegas Strip Tourists Facing 1000 Years In Jail

Prosecutors have charged, Lakeisha Holloway, the woman who drove her vehicle over a sidewalk on the Las Vegas Strip, killing one and injuring 35, with 71 counts, including 30 counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon with 4 of those counts enhanced because the victims were 60 or older.

Hollyway, 24, was also charged with 2 counts of child abuse because an 11-year-old was struck by the car and Holloway’s own 3-year-old daughter occupied the vehicle during the horrifying crash.

According to the D.A. Holloway’s facing more than 1,000 years in prison, if convicted on all charges. h/t tmz

Holloway was found to be sober at the time of the crash, but claimed she was exhausted from lack of sleep. Tests later found marijuana in her system.
