Miss Universe 2015 pageant host Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner causing the crown and sash to be removed from the head and shoulders of Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez and placed on Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach – on live television.
Gutierrez was visibly upset as the $30,000 blue diamond and topaz crown was removed and awarded to Wurtzbach.
Just as Gutierrez was blowing kisses and waving to her adoring fans she was informed that it was actually Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach who had won the crown instead. h/t dailymail
