A fire is raging on the 50th floor of Chicago’s Hancock building Saturday afternoon. Reports from the scene say at least one person is injured.
Intense flames and smoke can be seen billowing into the air from all over the windy city.
The Chicago Fire Department tweeted that the blaze was on the 50th floor on the east side of the building, and that one person was hurt. The fire was being fought as snow fell on the city, but was “under control” around 3:20 p.m. local time (4:20 p.m. ET), the fire department added. h/t nbcnews
The Hancock security desk also confirmed the fire, and said the 100-story building was not being evacuated at this time.
