Two people protesting Bank Of America rappelled down from the upper balcony of the Bank Of America stadium in Charlotte and unfurled a banner during Monday Night Football.
The nationally televised game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Carolina Panthers was interrupted as the protesters dangled above fans in the lower sections of the stadium directly in front of the VIP box suite windows.
The banner urged BofA, which is based in Charlotte, to “dump Dominion.” The banner also included a website, which outlined opposition to Bank of America’s role in financing a liquefied natural gas export facility by energy company Dominion Resources in Cove Point, Maryland. Bank of America owns the naming rights to the Panthers’ home stadium.

Those protesters were still dangling by ropes with the sign well into the fourth quarter as authorities tried to figure out how to get them down.
