MTV “Nitro Circus” extreme sports star Erik Roner has died in a skydiving accident in Lake Tahoe, California. He was 39.
Roner died in Squaw Valley near the ski resort while performing a jump with a group of skydivers. His jump was part of a golf tournament opening.
A spokesperson for Squaw Valley Ski Resort says Roner hit a tree on the way down and passed away as a result of injuries suffered in the accident.
