Dentist Walter Palmer has announced his plans to return to his practice, after arguably one of the worst summers ever. IN the process, he’s opened up to the press for the first time since being exposed as Cecil the lion‘s killer.
Palmer revealed that he killed Cecil with a crossbow, but fell short of disclosing the amount he paid for the hunting excursion. He lamented that if he had only known the lion “had a name,” he wouldn’t have killed him.
Palmer maintains he had no idea that he was stalking a “famous animal” saying, “If I had know this lion had a name and was important to the country or to a study obviously I wouldn’t have taken it.”
So if an grand animal like Cecil has no name, it’s okay to kill it? Some people just don’t get it.
