Sean Price, one half of the rap duo, Heltah Skeltah, has passed away while at home in Brooklyn. He was 43 years old.
The Duck Down rapper died in his sleep, according to family members. The exact cause of death is not yet known.
“It is with beyond a heavy heart that Duck Down Music is sadly confirming that Sean Price passed away early this morning in his Brooklyn apartment, Saturday, August 8th, 2015,” a rep said via statement to BET.com. “The cause of death is currently unknown, but it was reported that he died in his sleep. He’s survived by his wife, and his three children.” h/t bet
Price was also part of the hip hop co-op Boot Camp Clik. His latest album, Mic Tyson, dropped in 2013 and was critically-acclaimed.
