Three people are confirmed dead after two school buses were involved in an accident in Knoxville Tenn. One of the buses is shown with the front end completely sheared off.
The ages of the victims have not yet been released. It is unknown if the deaths involved adults or students.
The crash happened Tuesday afternoon on Asheville Highway at John Sevier Highway on the northeast side of Knoxville. The cause of the crash was not available. The front of another bus sustained significant damage. Knox County Schools were reporting the incident involved buses 44 and 57. The two buses serve Chilhowee Intermediate School and Sunnyview Primary School. h/t jrn
Officials with the Knoxville Police Department said several students were injured and being transported to the hospital. WVLT reported over 20 people were injured.
