Pittsburgh’s Edinboro University has been placed on lockdown following a shooting somewhere near the campus.
The university’s Facebook page alerted folks to a shooting off-campus near Water Street.
Around 7:40 p.m. the university said that an emergency lockdown was effective immediately. On Facebook, the university says “All residence halls, academic buildings, and campus facilities are to be locked down. All doors secured until further. Please stay inside behind locked doors until otherwise notified.” h/t pittsburgh.cbslocal
It’s unclear if anyone was shot, but authorities say the gunman is still at large.
