Brittany Weatherbee, 19, of Redding, Ca., is being sought by police after allegedly shooting her own father and then fleeing the scene in a blue 2002 Ford Explorer.
Weatherbee is currently wanted for attempted murder and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Redding Police say they responded Saturday night to a residence at around 11:25 p.m. and found Michael Mattson 35, of Shasta Lake City, lying on the ground with a single gunshot wound to his upper torso. Further investigation identified the suspect as Mattson’s daughter.
Mattson was transported to Mercy Medical Center and is believed to be in stable condition.
