Police arrested a father, Carmen D’Amato, and well-known Mummer, (aka Mime,) and his daughter, Rita D’Amato, in connection with an Oct. 25 attack of a homeless man they thought was breaking into vehicles.
The attack included the daughter hitting the man with a bat in the chest while dad shot him in the leg on a South Philly street.

Papa D’Amato, 62, and daughter D’Amato, 36 are facing aggravated assault and other charges.
