Amite County, Mississippi, Sheriffs confirmed that Justin Whittington has been arrested and charged following the death of Brittany Gill, whose body was found in Amite County on Monday.
Whittington, 31, is being charged with one count of desecration of a body and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
Sheriffs says that Whittington came to the sheriff’s office saying that “there had been an accident.” According to Sheriff Wroten, Whittington then told them that the “accident” had occurred at an oil well site in Wilkinson County and that he moved Gill’s body to a site in Amite County. The sheriff tells us that authorities have gone to both sites as they continue the investigation. Sheriff Wroten says that he is awaiting a ruling from the State Medical Examiner for a cause of death.
