A hospital located in Boone, North Carolina, is monitoring a patient who has is exhibiting Ebola symptoms. The Appalachian Regional Healthcare System in Boone says special Ebola protocols have been put in place after a patient who had recently travelled to Africa came in with a fever.
The Watauga County hospital says the person is being monitored and there is not a threat to the community.
