A swarm of bees one million strong killed a landscaper and critically injured another man in an early morning attack in Douglas, Arizona.
The fire department said the massive swarm came from a hive in the attic of a home that had likely been established over 10 years ago.
Authorities took one man to a hospital where he later died and the other man remains in critical condition, officials said.
A beekeeper was called in to exterminate the hive – but not before sections of the home’s roof had to be removed to gain access to the bees.
