Darren Espanto, 13, wowed the audience and the judges with his glowing ears — and with his performance of the Basil Valdez classic, “Ngayon,” in the grand finals of “The Voice Kids, Philippines Finale.”
Espanto, dubbed as the “Total Performer,” joined the short list of 4 finalists which include, Lyca Garainod, Darlene Vibares and Juan Karlos Labajo.
Espanto received a standing ovation from the crowd and the three coaches. Amazed at Espanto’s performance, Broadway star Lea Salonga left a warning to older performers.
For the Upbeat Round, Espanto sang and danced to Justin Bieber’s hit song “Somebody to Love”.
