Undefeated boxing champ, Floyd Mayweather‘s famous friend, Justin Bieber, is a regular in his corner, the couple frequently parties together.
Mayweather, currently on tour to promote his upcoming rematch with Marcos Maidana, accused a NBC reporter of racial profiling after she asked a question about their relationship.
NBC Chicago’s Peggy Kusinski asked Mayweather if his friendships with people like Johnny Manziel and Justin Bieber were genuine, or if they were just marketing partners. As Mayweather was about to talk about Bieber, Kusinski interrupted: “People think that’s the oddest matchup, you two together.“Mayweather responded: “Uh, to me it seems like that’s kind of racial profiling. To me.” Things got incredibly awkward from there. “Do you listen? Well, I’m talking about his music.“ “I’m just saying, I mean, why? You don’t know what kind of music I listen to, do you?” “No, that’s why I asked you.“ “So that’s racial profiling.” source
Kusinski laughed off the situation on Twitter.
Big fan of @FloydMayweather but no it's not racial profiling to ask how he's friends with Bieber! Lol pic.twitter.com/0tbjukJxfG
