Amanda Longacre, 24, appearing on the TODAY Show discussing what it’s like to be stripped of her Miss Delaware 2014 title.
Officials concluded Longacre was “too old” to compete while Longacre said she clearly stated her birthday in her contract. “It’s like they’re trying to erase me.”
Pageant organizers stripped Longacre of her crown this week, saying her age violated a clause in rules for the parent competition, Miss America.
“I am so, like, really upset,” Longacre said Friday on TODAY. “I just found out on Tuesday that I was stripped of my crown and over an age clause that clearly the board of my state didn’t even know about.” source
