Columbus Police arrested Willie L. Dumas, 58, on Friday and charged him with killing great-grandmother, 89-year-old Anna Mae Eblen, on her 71st wedding anniversary.
Cops say Dumas robbed Eblen of $35 and then slit her throat.
Reports say the death has been tough on Eblen’s husband who finds the attack too tough to talk about.
“They killed her on their 71st wedding anniversary. They got married April 17th and this person killed her on April 17th. The anniversary cards were still sitting on the TV,” said Sloan. source
89-year-old Eblen was home alone in April, when police say Dumas entered her house on East 12th Avenue.
A judge set bond at $1.5 Million.
