FedEx Truck Kills At Least 9 High Schoolers After Striking Bus

A horror crash occurred after a tour bus carrying high school students collided with a FedEx tractor-trailer on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Northern California. The crash has killed at least nine people, most high school students.

The collision happened between Sacramento and Redding, west of Chico, at 5:41 p.m. A third vehicle was reportedly involved.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed the FedEx truck was traveling southbound on I-5 when it crossed into oncoming traffic, striking a northbound passenger vehicle, then the tour bus.

Some of the students are reportedly from R.F. Kennedy High School in Koreatown, an uncle of one of the students involved told Eyewitness News.

The students were traveling north on a tour to visit the campus of Humboldt State University in Arcata.
