Carly Rae Jepsen Owl City Lose ‘Good Time’ Lawsuit

Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City are guilty of plagiarizing their smash hit song “Good Time” ruled a copyright judge..

A judge ordered an $800k payment to Singer Ally Burnett who claimed the song was a blatant rip-off of her song, “Ah, It’s a Love Song.”

The judge in the case has agreed, ordering BMI — the company that collects the royalties for “Good Time” — to pay Ally $804,156 in “we’re sorry” money.
