A JetBlue flight bound for Boston was diverted to Orlando International Airport on Wednesday afternoon after a chute or slide deployed aboard the plane in mid-flight, an airport spokeswoman said.

OIA spokeswoman Carolyn Fennell said flight 1266 from Fort Myers was diverted and landed in Orlando about 3:40 p.m. Fennell said 78 people, 74 of them passengers, were reportedly on board.
The plane landed safely, and airport operations were not impacted, Fennell said.
