PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 24 (UPI) — A parking attendant at a Philadelphia hotel was charged Wednesday with defrauding Philadelphia Eagle Todd Herremans of $225,000, federal prosecutors said.
Robert Von Ryan, 37, of Philadelphia was charged with stealing documents from the players’ car and using them to transfer money to his own account between 2009 and 2012, the U.S. attorney for Philadelphia said. Von Ryan faces up to 30 years in prison if he is convicted.
Federal prosecutors identified the player only as T.H. in court documents.
But the Philadelphia Inquirer reported the Eagles confirmed it was Herremans. The team also said the parking lot is at the hotel the Eagles use in Philadelphia.
Herremans, an offensive lineman, has been with the Eagles since 2005.
