Floyd Mayweather ”DRAW” Judge STEPS DOWN!!

Tonight, with the clock out of time on “The Million Second Quiz,”Haley Jensen, the beer sommelier from New York and the only woman on Winner’s Row, didn’t answer quickly enough that there were 96 tablespoons in 6 cups.

The problem: she seemed to think she did.

Jensen knocked a Harvard grad from the Money Chair on September 12 to land her spot on Winner’s Row along with three others. She had amassed more than $203,000 and was as well positioned to win the millions as the three men she’d been living next to on set since she joined.

In the final question tonight though, Haley ahead, her new opponent hit The Doubler (show lingo) on her and she was forced to answer quickly with a lot of points at stake. The clock had gone to zero. She gave it some thought, then looked down at her screen, maybe touching it. But apparently not. The buzzer went off and host Ryan Seacrest told her she was out of time and that she had lost. Her run (4 days and 22 hours) had come to an end. Her competitor’s doubler strategy paid off as he got enough points from her miss to shoot ahead.

This is the exact question she was asked: There are 8 tablespoons in a ½ cup, how many tablespoons are in 6 cups?

The answer was C: 96

With a stunned look on her face, she kept repeating that she’d answered, ignoring Ryan trying to close the show out, and looking around for someone else to tell her she was correct. “I hit C,” she kept saying.

NBC’s show handle tweeted:  “Tonight’s final question was reviewed and it was confirmed that #MSQHayleyJ did not hit her button within the five second window. #MSQ”

NBC had no further comment on the story.

The game continues throughout the day and night and the Winner’s Row contestants eat and sleep on set, but the live broadcast portion of the show is just one hour long.  The game show, which premiered last Monday and has run every night in primetime (except Sunday), while somewhat overly complicated, is based on the premise that for every second a contestant is in what’s called the Money Chair they accrue $10. Landing and staying in that chair is key, as is remaining on Winner’s Row.

“The Million Second Quiz” wraps up on Thursday. When it does the people on Winner’s Row will keep what they have earned, plus whoever is in the Money Chair will make a final run for $2 million.

On social media, some fans are outraged and vowing not to watch until she’s given her winnings or another chance to complete.

“Million Second Quiz” finished behind shows on CBS, ABC and Fox on Monday.
