Rona Newton-John dies. Pink lady, Olivia Newton-John’s beautiful sister, Rona Newton-John, has died, only one month after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

The “Grease” actress shared the news of her sister’s passing via Facebook.

“My beautiful sister Rona sadly passed on May 24th in Los Angeles,” she wrote. “It was May 25th in Australia which was our mother Irene’s birthday. Rona died of a very aggressive brain tumor and mercifully suffered no pain. I will miss her forever— my beautiful, smart, talented, funny, brave sister Rona,” she wrote.

Rona, 70, was surrounded by her family, including her famous sister who had been at her sister’s side since canceling all of her April Las Vegas performances.

Olivia added,

“She was surrounded by the love of her four children— Fiona, Brett, Tottie and Emerson and her wonderful friends.”

The family has asked that donations be sent to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Center, where a program will be named after Rona. Source.
