FAITH Singer George Michael was airlifted today to a hospital after suffering head injuries in a rollover Range Rover crash east of England!
Michael remained in hospital this as of this morning after the crash which occurred at a junction near St Albans, Hertfordshire, on England’s M1.
“George Michael was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident on Thursday evening, no third party was involved. “He is being treated for superficial cuts and bruises but is fine. We have no further comment at this time,” a spokesperson for the 49-year-old artist confirmed.
Michael was NOT operating the vehicle at the time of the crash and besides the driver of the Range Rover, no other vehicles were involved.
“The man who we believe to be in his 40s sustained a head injury and following treatment, stabilisation and immobilisation by land and air ambulance crews, he was flown to hospital for further care,” ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson Hertfordshire Police said the northbound carriageway of the road was closed for an hour while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Two people were in the car at the time of the crash.
“The exact circumstances of what happened are unclear at this time and until further investigations have been carried out it would be inappropriate for us to comment further,” a police spokesman said.
Back in September 2010, Michael was given an eight-week jail sentence for wrecking his, you guessed it, Range Rover, while under the influence of weed.
