ABILENE, Texas – A former meth addict became a Facebook sensation after posting side-by-side comparison photos showing herself during her addiction and after her recovery, according to video from KRBC.
Shanna White said the photos show her after after eight years of using meth and clean and sober just six years later.
“I keep that picture to remind myself where it took me, where I was. I felt defeated,” White said. “I look at the other picture and I think, ‘Wow, I did it.'”
The photos ahve received more than 160,000 likes and more than 12,000 shares. It also has prompted strangers to ask for her advice.
“I had hoped it would reach some people, more people,” she explained. “I had no idea it would reach this many people.”
